The Chief Executive Officer of the Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI), Rudi van der Vyver, has resigned.

“SAACI acknowledges the energy and enthusiasm Van der Vyver displayed during his time at the association.  He led SAACI’s operations with passion, established solid systems and played a meaningful role in the association, retaining its position at the forefront of the business events industry,” says Chairperson Wayne Smith.

“It has been a privilege to work with a dedicated and skilled team of board executives and colleagues,” said Van der Vyver. “I am grateful for all the long hours and hard work SAACI employees and partners have put in to boost the association to be the recognised body of the business events industry in Southern Africa and Africa.”

Van der Vyver, who joined SAACI in 2017, will join EPH Events as Managing Director in July.
