The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) has announced that, due to the making of a movie, parts of the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve will be closed to visitors over the next few months.
MTPA will restrict access to the waterfall and the path leading to the waterfall on the following dates:
- From October 29, 2018 to January 3, 2019
- From February 19 to February 28, 2019
Access to the Swadini section of the reserve will be completely restricted on the following dates:
- January 4 to February 18, 2019
