The newly refurbished Sea Point landmark, The Ritz, which opened its doors in December last year, has been renovated with the concept of accessible luxury.
The Ritz Hotel Management Company saw a gap in the market for an international-grade hotel that would marry a contemporary design aesthetic with world-class service.
Lisa Carey, Marketing and PR Manager, comments: “We are not creating a quirky boutique property, or a stiff five-star hotel. We want to cater for that niche in the middle. We wanted to take luxury and design, and make it accessible.”
Rooms at The Ritz pay homage to this ethos, with every room and suite boasting views of both the city and the Atlantic Ocean.
A talking point is the revolving restaurant on the 23rd floor of the hotel. It aims to provide an intimate refined dining experience.
