aha Makalali Main Lodge is a newly built lodge within the existing aha Makalali Private Game Lodge, comprising 30 comfortable  upscale superior rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and indoor and outdoor showers, personal bar (stocked on request) tea- and coffee-making facilities, hairdryer and electronic safe.

The rooms are air-conditioned and feature lavish interiors with classic leather and wood furnishings that ooze modern luxury yet are designed to capture the splendour of the bushveld. A balcony offers a comfortable outside sitting area with spectacular views of the untamed bushveld. Guests can also enjoy a variety of soothing in-room massage treatments (prior booking).

The conspicuous central guest area is characterised by soaring spaces and features rustic structures that reflect the outside elements indoors. This space also boasts a chic library and a dual-aspect fireplace in the main dining area, which connects to the bar lounge area. The guest area flows to the outside deck area, which overlooks the bushveld on one side and the large crystal-blue rim-flow pool on the other. Its comfy chairs and sun-loungers create an inviting ambience. Paired with a signature Makalali drink, it offers the perfect place to unwind and take in the sights and sounds of nature.

aha Makalali Main Lodge has a central dining area where guests can enjoy an array of African and contemporary cuisine, including game and venison dishes. The outside area is spacious and flows into open dining decks and the boma, which is ideal for enjoying a pleasant meal under the African night sky surrounded by echoing sounds of majestic animals in the distance.
