The Signature Hotel, 50 km southwest of Gaborone, is adding 16 new rooms, including family suites.
There are also plans to introduce chalets next year. The construction is ongoing, and the hotel remains open.
Eight of the new rooms under construction welcomed guests at the end of November, and the remaining rooms will be completed early this year.
The new rooms include two family suites with interlocking doors, offering two single beds in one room and a double bed in the other, with shared shower and bath facilities. The executive category rooms will have a lounge area, while the standard category rooms come with basic amenities such as a shower, bath, bar fridge, air-conditioning, complimentary WiFi, bathrobes, and TV.
GM, Mphoentle Torto, said they plan to also add chalets, financed through the proceeds generated by the current expansion.
Facilities include a restaurant, a 200-seat conference venue, and relaxing outdoor spaces.
A wide range of activities include horse riding, hiking, a zipline, and swimming facilities. The hotel also has a dam where guests can enjoy seasonal catch-and-release fishing when there is enough water in the dam.
A larger swimming pool is under construction and expected to open in November, catering both for residents and private function guests.
Once completed, there will be two swimming pools, one near the rooms and the other by the restaurant and bar.
The Signature Hotel is located on A10 highway in Thamaga en-route Kanye and Jwaneng.
