Guests of Kadizora Camp can now include a hot-air balloon safari in their stay.
The activity is available between April and September and four guests can be accommodated on a trip. Guests leave on a game vehicle before sunrise and enjoy an hour’s game drive to the launch site where they are served tea, coffee, fruit, and biscuits, while the balloon is inflated. On landing, they are given a certificate saying they’ve flown in a hot-air balloon in the Okavango Delta, followed by a champagne toast before returning to the lodge.
This is the only area in Botswana offering balloon safaris. Chris Anagnostellis, Chief Operations Officer at African Anthology, says guests can now view animals from water in a mokoro, from land in a game vehicle and, with the addition of the balloon safari, from the air.
