Premier Hotel Cape Town in the Western Cape will reopen before the end of August, after undergoing an R11 million (€713408) renovation to improve the overall guest experience.
The work was carried out over four months and included revamped reception and lounge areas, with new furniture, fittings and décor.
The Promenade restaurant and the Promenade cocktail bar also underwent an upgrade, with a new layout design and bar. The main kitchen was remodelled and a kosher kitchen added, with separate dairy and meat sections.
The hotel comprises 130 rooms that look out on to the Atlantic Ocean or Table Mountain.
As renovations are still under way, in the interim the main hotel wing will remain closed until the end of July. However, the renovated east wing is still available for bookings on a room-only basis and a temporary reception desk has been set up in this section of the hotel.
Certain parts of the hotel are periodically restricted while various stages of the project are completed. Food and beverage services are still suspended and the conference rooms, business centre and library are temporarily inaccessible.
Other facilities are still on offer, such as on-site parking, free WiFi and complimentary shuttle service to the V&A Waterfront, however they may be limited at certain times.
“We can’t wait to show off the new-look Premier Hotel Cape Town come August,” says Sigal Nassimov-Geva, Chief Operating Officer of Premier Hotels & Resorts.
