CemAir is sub-chartering an aircraft to operate its Hoedspruit flights with immediate effect, until such time as its 12 aircraft all have their Certificates of Airworthiness reinstated.
This follows the recent grounding of CemAir by the South African Civil Aviation Authority.
The aircraft, a Fokker 70, belongs to SKA SA Aircraft Leasing (Pty) Ltd. CemAir says there are currently no plans to sub-charter more aircraft to operate any of its other routes.
The airline also cannot commit to when its own aircraft will be back up and running and flight schedules operating normally.
