Drifters Adventours will highlight plans in store for 2019 at Africa’s Travel Indaba this year, says Christiaan Steyn, Marketing Manager.
For a start, the tour operator will introduce a brand-new 4x4 truck in Uganda. With similar features to the 17-seater trucks in its fleet, the new addition is more robust for handling Ugandan road conditions. The only one of its kind in the country, the vehicle will enhance the overall experience for guests, offering more comfort and space as they explore the rugged terrain.
2019 will also mark the second year of operation of Drifters’ Southern Highlights Tour. The route was launched this year and includes Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. “The tour offers guests a fantastic opportunity to visit some of the 'not so well known ' destinations in the south along with many highlights that are a must, giving guests a well-rounded experience in wildlife, culture and history,” says Steyn.
Drifters will continue to offer guests our range of accommodated tours that were launched in 2017. “The tours offer guests the same adventurous spirit of the camping tours, but with more comfort at the end of the day making use of lodges, tented camps or fully serviced safaris,” says Steyn. The selection of accommodated tours includes:
- 18-day South Africa tour
- Five-day Kruger Safari
- 16-day Botswana tour
- 16-day Namibia tour
- 24-day Cape Town to Johannesburg via Victoria Falls tour
Rates will reflect limited increases next year. Explains Steyn: “We updated and improved on the product to give guests the best possible experience on all our routes and destinations and did this with only a marginal increase in some of the rates for 2019, thus allowing everyone the opportunity to come and explore the beauty of the continent.
“We will expand on all of this and more during the show at our stand ODC A3. With a big team present at the show we invite everyone to come around for detailed information.”
