The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is expected to open its second hotel in Kenya’s capital city Nairobi in early 2017.
The new hotel will offer 126 rooms, a grill restaurant, a bar and lobby lounge, two meeting and two board rooms and a business centre.
Other facilities include a gym, a rooftop swimming pool and terrace as well as underground parking.
“Today, Africa is our biggest growth market. It’s really about delivering the pipeline,” said Wolfgang Neumann, Rezidor’s President and Chief Executive.
Initially, Park Inn by Radisson Nairobi was to open in the fourth quarter of 2013, but the development faced delays.
Brothers Ronal and Rupen Samani through their firm AMS Properties Limited are the owners of the upcoming Park Inn Nairobi. Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group will operate the facility under a contract management.
The Group is also expected to open another hotel located near the Nairobi Arboretum in 2018.
Carlson Rezidor has a global footprint of 1 400 hotels under its brands including Radisson Blu, Radisson RED Park Inn, Country Inns and Park Plaza.
