The Eswatini Tour Guides course will be back in June for the first time since 2019 after restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The course is specifically designed to provide tourist guides with information about Eswatini, covering topics from geography to culture and history, as well as visiting some of the major tourist spots around the country.
The Hospitality and Tourism Association of Eswatini has been hosting the course for about 20 years.
“As an association the course was conceptualised due to the discovery that in the early 2000s international guides who were bringing tourists through Eswatini were giving the incorrect information about the country and some of the traditions we have, therefore we decided to start educating guides on the correct information,” said the association.
Four years ago, when the last course was hosted, over 1 000 guides were trained.
