New African Territories – a collection of unfranchised, experiential and small owner-managed properties in Kenya and Tanzania – recently opened the newest addition to its portfolio, Dhow House.
The exclusive-use, beachfront heritage-style villa is on the island of Lamu, which forms part of the Lamu Archipelago in Kenya.
The house sleeps 14 guests, with five bedrooms and a two-bedroomed garden suite, complete with its own motorboat, infinity swimming pool, chef and concierge service.
Activities include dhow safaris to Manda Toto Island, sunset strolls on sandy white beaches, sailing, kayaking, water-skiing, windsurfing, snorkelling with dolphins, wakeboarding and fishing.
Guests arrive on the island through scheduled flights from Nairobi, Malindi or Mombasa into Manda Airstrip. From there, it is a short boat transfer directly to the house.
Dhow House is open all year and welcomes children of all ages.
