Fastjet has commenced operations between Johannesburg and Zanzibar with three flights a week via Dar es Salaam. 
Fastjet flies from Johannesburg to Dar es Salaam every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, departing OR Tambo International Airport at 23h20. A Coastal Aviation representative meets passengers on arrival at Dar es Salaam’s Julius Nyerere International Airport and transfers them to their short flight to Zanzibar.
Return flights operate on the same days, leaving Zanzibar at 17h15 for the 20-minute flight to Dar es Salaam and then connecting to the fastjet flight that lands back in JNB at 22h30.
