Boundless Southern Africa – the tourism marketing and investment promotion initiative for Southern Africa’s Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCAs) – has developed a new e-learning tool for tourism in the region.
The first courses on the Maloti-Drakensberg TFCA and the Great Limpopo TFCA are now live online.
The courses deal with, amongst others, the following topics:
- What is a Transfrontier Conservation Area (TFCA)?
- What is the potential for sustainable tourism?
- How does the border crossing from Kruger National Park in South Africa to Mozambique work in the Great Limpopo TFCA?
- Where can you find the best routes for four-wheel-drive adventures in Maloti-Drakensberg TFCA?
The e-learning courses also give general travel advice, offer resources on information on COVID-19, provide accommodation tips and showcase examples of sustainable and community-based tourism experiences.
Users are interactively guided through individual course chapters, and visuals comprising pictures, maps and videos, as well as quizzes.
Registration for the free English courses, that target tourism professionals, is now available at https://boundless-southernafrica.org/online-training/.
