SAA has allegedly cancelled its flights between Abu Dhabi and Johannesburg.
Travel agents confirmed to Tourism Update they were unable to book SAA operated flights on the GDS for February.

Etihad Airways’, which has a code share with SAA on the route, said in a statement that it would accommodate passengers booked on flights operated by SAA between Abu Dhabi and Johannesburg effective February 1. Etihad cited “operational reasons” for the change.
“As a matter of principle, Etihad will not charge passengers that will be accommodated on the route any additional charges,” the airline said.
SAA was unable to comment at the time of publication.
SAA launched direct daily return flights from Abu Dhabi in March last year and subsequently cut its frequencies on the route in November.
