This year’s annual National Geographic list of ‘20 of the coolest travel adventures’ ranked Kenya’s horseback safaris as number one in the world.
National Geographic spotlighted horseback safaris as an immersive way to see wildlife while being less disruptive to habitats.
“A safari in Africa usually conjures an image of mud-spattered 4x4 vehicles bouncing through the bush. But there’s another way to travel: on horseback. Although horse safaris originated in Kenya in the 1970s, they’re a perfect fit for today’s growing number of travellers looking for more engaging, sustainable wildlife encounters,” National Geographic said.
The list also features adventures like tea trails in Sri Lanka, solar eclipse viewing at Niagara Falls, and exploring Paris and Scotland.
