Namibian property group O&L Leisure is set to start room upgrades and complete construction of a new outdoor venue at its 116-room Mokuti Etosha lodge, on the outskirts of Etosha National Park, in the second phase of an extensive renovation programme.
Starting in January 2025, the room upgrades will include additional luxury suites and a contemporary refresh of existing rooms. Due to be completed by June 2026, the renovations will be carried out in phases to ensure the lodge remains fully operational.
The Skyboma – due to be completed by August 2025 – will offer guests a unique outdoor space for gatherings under the Namibian sky.
During the first phase completed in early 2023, all public areas – including the restaurant, bar, pool area and conference rooms – were rebuilt.
O&L Leisure MD Sven Thieme expressed his gratitude to guests for their continued support during this period of transformation.
"At O&L Leisure, our guests are at the heart of everything we do. As always, our focus remains on delivering the highest standard of service and we are confident that these upgrades will further enhance Mokuti's position as one of Namibia's leading lodges. We look forward to unveiling these improvements and continuing to provide guests with unforgettable experiences.”
Mokuti Etosha is adjacent to Etosha National Park’s eastern Von Lindequist (also known as Namutoni) gate, making the lodge an ideal base for safaris into the park.
In addition to Mokuti Etosha, O&L Leisure’s portfolio includes Midgard in the Central Region, Strand Hotel in Swakopmund and Chobe Villas in the Zambezi region.
