Proflight Zambia has entered into its first interline ticketing agreement with Turkish Airlines, enhancing connectivity between Europe and Zambia.
Effective this month, the partnership allows Turkish Airlines to issue tickets that connect its passengers to Proflight’s domestic and regional routes. This collaboration simplifies travel logistics and aims to strengthen Zambia’s position as a regional travel hub.
Proflight Zambia’s Director of Flight Operations, Josias Walubita, highlighted the significance of the agreement, stating: “Proflight is excited to partner with Turkish Airlines – a global airline that shares our commitment to connectivity, safety and reliability. This partnership will streamline travel for passengers from Europe to Zambia, aligning with our vision of positioning Zambia as a regional gateway.”
Enhanced accessibility to key destinations
The agreement enables seamless travel to popular Zambian destinations such as South Luangwa National Park, known for its photographic and walking safaris, and Livingstone, home to the iconic Victoria Falls. Travellers can also connect to major locations across Southern Africa on a single ticket.
Global reach and economic impact
Turkish Airlines operates one of the world’s largest networks, serving 53 destinations in Türkiye and 296 internationally across 130 countries. The interline agreement expands Proflight’s accessibility to international travellers, bolstering Zambia’s tourism sector and contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
This collaboration is expected to boost Zambia’s global visibility, offering increased convenience for international visitors and fostering regional connectivity.
