South Africa’s inbound industry is mourning the sudden loss of New Frontiers Tours (NFT) Product Manager Megan Hinton who passed away on March 22.

Hinton’s career in travel spanned almost three decades when she forged deep relationships with many members of the industry.

NFT paid tribute to Megan with this message:

“Megs, a well-known and much-loved member of our NFT team, will be fondly remembered for her kindness, warm-hearted nature, her huge smile and infectious laugh, her steadfast integrity and the wealth of knowledge she shared so generously.

“We are blessed that she was a part of the NFT family since 2016, starting in the reservations team before progressing into the Product Manager role in 2019. It was here that she really found her niche as a passionate and inquisitive product guru who loved seeking out unique ways to showcase the true essence of our country and its people. She was a valued part of NFT and she is going to be sorely missed by all of us.

“Our thoughts are with her precious family, her husband Neil and teenage boys James and Ethan at this incredibly tough time.”

Hinton’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1 at 15h00 during a service at the Westville Methodist Church in Durban. The service will also be streamed live on this link.
