Isibindi Africa Lodges recently appointed Gill Thorpe as Sales Manager and Graeme Mann as Business Manager.
Thorpe has over 30 years of experience in both the inbound and outbound travel divisions, working with New Frontiers and Thompsons.
Thorpe’s travels have taken her to more than 25 countries around the world, however the diversity of South Africa and her passion for the people and wildlife, will always make South Africa home.
Her appreciation of the outdoors, an immense love of animals and being surrounded by beauty, drive her desire to encourage everyone to experience her home country.
With a BSc in Nature Conservation and Forestry from Stellenbosch University under his belt, Mann spent two years farming in Zululand and then eight years working as a safari guide around South Africa – from the St Lucia Wetlands to the Klaserie and Waterberg.
He joined Conservation Corporation Africa as Head Guide at the five-star safari lodges in the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape and was subsequently promoted to General Manager and then Executive Manager of Kwandwe’s hospitality portfolio, over a period of 18 years.
A passion for people, creating real benefits for the people who live in and around conservation spaces and creating meaningful and memorable experiences for the world’s travellers, drive his purpose with Isibindi Africa Lodges.
