Luxury five-star lodge, Last Word Kitara, on the banks of the Klaserie River in the Greater Kruger National Park, recently shared a video of a leopard stalking its prey.
In the winter months, the drier it gets, the scarcer the water sources in the bushveld become. The animals jostle for space at the riverside or waterholes, making for fascinating, occasionally heated, safari encounters.
The thinned-out bushveld also makes it easier for prowling predators to hunt down their prey.
