Air Tanzania will start operating flights between Dar es Salaam and Mumbai from September.
According to Josephat Kagirwa, Head of Corporate Communications and PR for Air Tanzania, the airline will deploy its recently acquired Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner on the route.
The airline will operate flights from Dar es Salaam to Mumbai every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with return flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
A one-way ticket costs US$286, tax inclusive, with a return flight costing US$455, tax inclusive.
The new flights to Mumbai signify Air Tanzania and the government’s vision to reposition and grow the national carrier, as flights to Bangkok and Guangzhou are in the pipeline.
