Kenyan hospitality group, Sun Africa Hotels, has taken over the management of Nyali International Beach Hotel in Mombasa County.
The hotel will now be known as Nyali Sun Africa Beach Hotel and Spa.
Sun Africa Hotels Group CEO, Mohammed Hersi, says the takeover is a step forward in a plan to “position Sun Africa as a leading chain of hotels, lodges and camps across Kenya, the region and globally”.
Built in 1946, the property is one of the oldest beach hotels in Mombasa and boasts rich history dating back to the British colonial era.
Hersi said the group would soon announce new plans to revamp the hotel in a bid to improve standards.
Sun Africa has three brands in its portfolio; the Luxury collection, the Elite collection and Sun 101, a management arm that is its new venture for the management of hotels.
