Kenya Airports Authority has opened a new area for passenger pick-ups and drop-offs at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi. The new area designations opened on June 29. Tour operators have been provided with a previously unused area to wait for passengers.
Airport users are asked to adhere to the following:
- Central Square (Public) is open to the public for pick-up and drop-off only.
- Central Square (Tours Operators/Hotels) is allocated strictly for Kenya Association of Tour Operators (KATO) members.
- Flag post area is allocated for domestic Yellow Cabs, staff buses and Uber taxis.
- Terminal 1A is strictly reserved for passengers with limited mobility, and four yellow cabs.
KATO recommends that members avoid parking in this dedicated area for extended periods and only access the area at the flight arrival time.
