The ONOMO group has opened a new hotel, ONOMO Hotel Kampala – its first property in Uganda – as it continues its development drive in East Africa.

GM of the hotel, Quintin de Wet, said: “Our confidence in the bounce-back of the tourism industry and the Ugandan economy is so strong that we are opening in the middle of the pandemic and we can’t wait to be part of the economic drive.”

ONOMO Hotel Kampala’s 148 rooms comprise 114 standard rooms and 34 suites. Each room is equipped with a television with satellite package, minibar, in-room electronic safe, bath products, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, telephone with voicemail, complimentary WiFi, air-conditioning and automated wake-up call. The hotel is situated in Kampala’s Nakasero Hill.

The restaurant serves Afro-fusion cuisine and hosts an agenda of weekly events. Additional facilities include a swimming pool, a conference room and a meeting room.
