Marriott International has appointed a new sales and marketing leadership team to support its Middle East and Africa portfolio.
The new appointments come after the successful merger between Marriott International and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
The new Brand, Marketing, Sales and Consumer (BMSC) Services Leadership Team will bring together seasoned professionals from both companies to support its growing footprint and growth plans in the region.
The new team will be led by Neal Jones, new Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for the Middle East and Africa.
The team consists of Paul Dalgleish, Vice President of Sales and Distribution; Sarah Allen, Vice President of Revenue Strategy and Analysi; Jitendra Jain, Vice President of Digital, Loyalty and Portfolio Marketing; Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, Vice President of Premium Sales and Select Brands; Sarah Walker Kerr, Vice President of Communications; and Raheel Baggia, Senior Director of BMSC Planning and Services for the Middle East and Africa.
The team will provide support to the company’s regional portfolio, responsible for driving top line revenue for Marriott International brands, ensuring the regional sales and marketing strategy is aligned with the company’s overall priorities and vision.
Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has appointed Carlos Luis as its new Head of Contracting Division.
Luis will be responsible for all air, land and sea contracting to deliver increased benefits for all the preferred partners of FCTG.
Emperors Palace has appointed Clive Tavener as its new General Manager.
Tavener will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations, playing a strategic role in planning, as well as sourcing new business and growth opportunities for the hotel.
Glenn Patel has resigned from Ilios Travel, as Sales Manager, to take up a position at another company. Patel’s last day was on July 28.
