Tour de Wilderness has opened registrations for the annual Nedbank Tour De Tuli, which will take mountain bike cyclists through wilderness areas in Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe from August 13-18, 2015.
“Now in its 11th year, the Nedbank Tour de Tuli has become a firm favourite on the annual mountain cycling calendar and the 2015 event is shaping up to be our best one yet. Preparations are well under way, with the Tour de Wilderness team hard at work developing a route that will ensure both a challenging and rewarding experience for all participants,” said Nicola Harris, Tour Director.
All funds raised by the tour are channelled directly into Children in the Wilderness (CITW), a non-profit organisation that runs sustainable education programmes to bridge the divide between communities and the wildlife areas next to which they live. Through Eco-Clubs and CITW camps, rural children are taught to respect their environment and to appreciate the long-term value of conservation, becoming the future custodians of Africa’s wilderness areas.
