Sport Helicopters is a privately owned business that owns and operates the largest fleet of helicopters in Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront.
Our fleet consists of eight helicopters plus the Iconic ex-Vietnam Huey helicopter (Bell UH-1 Iroquois).
Sport Helicopters’ fleet of helicopters are well-maintained by our very own in house maintenance facility based at Cape Town International Airport where attention to detailed maintenance is secured under the guidance of four highly skilled helicopter maintenance engineers and their assistants.
Exclusive to Sport Helicopters, the Huey is an ex-military, veteran helicopter that saw three years of service in Vietnam with the 129 Helicopter Airborne Assault Brigade. The Huey is the only one in the world licensed by the South African Civil Aviation Authority to carry nine passengers on a 30 minute simulated combat flight.

In addition Sport Helicopters owns and operates a luxury Princess 45 private motor yacht with a capacity of maximum 12 passengers and two crew members.
Princess Skye is moored behind the Cape Grace’s Bascule Bar in the private Marina and is available for private charters.
All cruises include complimentary drinks and snacks – local beers, wines, sparkling wines and soft drinks.
