Independent regional airline Airlink will add three weekly night flights to its Johannesburg-Nairobi service from March 30 next year.
The extra flights improve choices for business and leisure travellers flying between the two cities and bolster Airlink’s daily service launched last year when it became the first private-sector airline to compete on the route.
Airlink’s flight schedule is designed to provide convenient connections through its Johannesburg hub with its domestic and regional services as well as long-haul flights provided by its constellation of global airline partners.
“Kenya is an important market and the route provides a vital connection between the two major hubs, stimulating bilateral and inter-regional travel, trade and economic activity. Airlink’s competitive and convenient flights will promote tourism in both markets,” explained Airlink CEO and Managing Director Rodger Foster.
