The South African Department of Tourism has released details of its internship programme for 2022-2024. The programme is offered for a period of 24 months.
Required fields of study include:
- Tourism Management, Economics/Economic Development
- ICT/Computer Science/Database/System Development
- Business Administration/Public Management/Business Studies
- Project Management
- Internal Audit/Risk Management
- Financial Management/Accounting
- Supply Chain Management/Travel and Transport/Logistics
- Human Resources Management/Development
- Management Services/Work Study
- Communication Science/Journalism/Public Relations
- Development Studies
- International Relations/Political Science/Regionalism
- Psychology/Social Work
Unemployed South Africans above the age of 35 years with a tertiary qualification in one of the above-mentioned fields of study can apply. Applicants cannot have been previously employed under any other internship programme.
Applications must include a completed and signed new Form Z83, obtainable from any Public Service Department or at www.gov.za, and a detailed Curriculum Vitae.
Only shortlisted candidates will be required to supply certified copies of their Identity Document, Senior Certificate, and highest required qualification to HR on or before the day of the interview date. These candidates will need to attend an interview to determine their suitability for the role.
