South African Tourism has appointed Bashni Muthaya as Regional Manager: South Europe for a period of two years, with effect from July 1. She will be based in Paris from August 15.
Muthaya has been with SA Tourism since 2002 and has held various roles in the research unit as well as a Regional Director for Europe/UK.
In the past three years, she was the General Manager: Strategic Research.
The appointment follows the establishment of the South Europe hub in June, to service the French and Italian markets.
Muthaya will help to establish a hub to service the region. The hub strategy is part of the strategic plan to maximise the marketing spend in the markets in which South African Tourism operates.
