South Africa’s inbound tourist numbers continued to grow in November, registering a slight month-on-month increase compared with October.
According to the latest figures from Statistics South Africa, overall, overseas arrivals increased by nearly 3% (from 189 778 in October to 195 549 in November).
The growth was evident in arrivals from Europe – growing from 122 599 in October to 129 036 in November.
However, arrivals from the US decreased slightly from 28 011 in October to 27 526 in November.
November arrivals were at 79.1% of 2019 pre-pandemic levels, slightly increasing from the 76.3% registered in October last year.
