1. ResRequest releases new plugin
ResRequest will release an online booking plugin for tourism business websites called ResNova. It is a customisable booking plugin that feeds availability from ResRequest to your website. ResNova also supports credit card payments through PayGate SA and is planning to add more vendors to this list.

2. Eco Atlas integrates with SA Tourism website
Eco Atlas has integrated with the SA Tourism website’s Travel Directory, giving both small and large businesses exposure for practising responsible and sustainable tourism. Properties including community-owned lodges such as Bulungula on the Wild Coast, and establishments such as Spier, are being recognised for their efforts.

3. New Mobile Safari Family Tent
Safari and Guide Services will launch its New Mobile Safari Family Tent at Indaba. This dual mini-meru with a double toilet and shower, allows both kids and parents to have their own space.

4. SATSA to provide platform for industry assistance
SATSA will share its Indaba stand with partner companies including, Bidvest Bank, which offers industry preferential exchange rates, referral commissions on Forex transactions, foreign currency, accounts for incoming payments and asset finance;
Insurance broker SATIB will be offering short-term commercial insurance such as asset insurance, general public liability cover, passenger liability insurance , and domestic insurance covering household and private car insurance requirements. Sprout Consulting, will offer outsourced capacity in accounting, tax, human resources, marketing and IT.

5. Wilderness Safaris helps bolster Botswana rhino population
Wilderness Safaris has partnered with the Botswana, South African and Zimbabwean Governments in the signing of purchase agreements for a further significant addition of critically endangered Black rhino and near-threatened White rhino, to bolster existing Botswana populations.

6. Kurisa Moya Nature Lodge launches film
Kurisa Moya Nature Lodge in Polokwane, is launching a short film by renowned film-maker Daréll Lourens. It features South Africa's top local Bird Guide, David Letsoalo, in an indigenous forest with a 2000-year-old champion tree; real-life village tours and an Adventure Mountain Bike Route.

7. Giltedge Africa launches new initiative
Giltedge Africa will launch a new initiative in responsible tourism that is dedicated to customising a meaningful experience for its clients, called ‘Travel with a Purpose’.
