Simbavati Lodge Collection is leveraging the exclusive-use property trend and now offers six options as part of its exclusive-use collection.
“There is a growing interest in exclusive-use holidays and Simbavati is excited to be able to fulfil that need for our guests. Our range of exclusive use villas, camps and cottages offer tailored, private and personalised experiences and stays at unique properties, fitting every type of small group or family,” Kelly Robertson, Marketing Manager at Simbavati told Tourism Update.
The six properties are as follows:
- Simbavati Amani – An intimate safari lodge in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park in Limpopo province. It has four luxury suites, a double-volume sitting/dining room, mezzanine library that can accommodate extra children. There are gardens that lead to a separate entertainment area with rim-flow pool, bar and pool terrace overlooking a flood-lit waterhole.
- Simbavati Mvubu Cottage – An exclusive-use cottage in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. It has two bedrooms, a sitting/dining room, alfresco covered dining area, sleep-out deck under thatch and a pool overlooking the Nhlaralumi river, a favourite spot for elephants. All meals can be taken at the cottage or at Simbavati Hilltop Lodge.
- Simbavati Trails Camp – A walking safari camp in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, open from March to November only. Four en-suite tents for eight guests offer a luxury yet back-to-basics experience with a pool, fireside bush dining and guided walking safaris. An aim of the camp is to offer a ‘digital detox’ with no electricity, cellphone or WiFi reception. The tents can be booked on a room-by-room basis, but it lends itself to exclusive use as well.
- Simbavati River Sands – A luxurious private villa in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. It offers two expansive suites, each with dressing room and bathroom, large sitting and dining area, covered terrace with waterfall feature pool and views over the bush and waterhole.
- Simbavati Homestead – An exclusive, self-catering safari home in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve. Five en-suite bedrooms sleep ten guests; a pool, garden and a small boma overlook a waterhole.
- Simbavati Fynbos Cottage – A private, self-catering cottage overlooking the Indian Ocean in the heart of the Garden Route. Two identical en-suite bedrooms and a loft area with two single beds for older children, wraparound terrace, and heated pool. Offers views over ocean, mountain, lake, and fynbos.
“We realise that multi-generational families, couples and groups of friends are travelling together, more and more. Our exclusive-use options offer these guests an appealing and personalised stay, set in the most alluring African settings,” said Robertson.
The exclusive-use safari properties come with a dedicated safari guide and private vehicle.
“Our guests also enjoy the private pools, entertainment areas and gardens at the various properties as they make themselves at home, reconnecting and relaxing into their own holiday rhythm.
“The opportunity to celebrate the unique traits in our various exclusive-use properties is exciting as we position them to appeal to the ideal markets looking for private and personalised South African holidays. Each of our exclusive use villas, camps and cottages is unique but all share the high standard of service and underlying ethos of Africalm which Simbavati is so proud of,” Robertson concluded.
Africalm refers to a state of ‘BE-ing’ where body, mind and spirit align. “This brings about a joyful presence in each moment, where the essence of life is fully appreciated. It’s a feeling. Wholeness. Stillness. Excitement. Wonder. Grace,” according to Simbavati.
