Promotion for Mullins at Minor
The Minor Hotels group is promoting Dawie Mullins, current Senior Corporate Sales Manager, as Global Sales Manager Africa based at the Johannesburg offices.
With this key appointment, effective January 1, 2023, the brand was set to shake up the status quo of the tourism and hospitality industry once again, said Lindi Mthethwa, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Minor Hotels.
In his new role, Mullins will continue to support the regional Africa properties while growing and leveraging the high-potential international market. He is also tasked with driving revenue by positioning Minor Hotels’ brands as the go-to choice for business and leisure travellers in the region and abroad.
Mullins joined Minor Hotels from Marriott’s regional office and, prior to that, he had experience with Emerald Resort and Casino and a successful tenure with Virgin Limited Edition at Ulusaba Private Game Reserve. He also served as President of Skål International Pretoria Club from February 2015 to February 2016.
“Sales is not only about exchanging a product or service to receive currency in exchange, it’s about sharing experience to the right people, at the right time and at the right price to ensure a desire for repeat business,” says Mullins.
