Thompsons Africa is offering packages to Zimbabwe and Zambia, valid during low water to celebrate the implementation of the first stage of Kaza (Kavango Zambezi) univisa piloted for travel to Zimbabwe and Zambia.
There are two low-water packages on offer, with the option to stay either in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, or Livingstone, Zambia. The Zimbabwe stay includes three nights at The Kingdom, return airport transfers, a sunset cruise, a tour of the Falls and Livingstone Island Breezer in Zambia. The Zambia stay includes three nights at the Zambezi Sun, an African Queen sunset cruise, a tour of the Falls and a dine-around option in Victoria Falls. For the dine-around option, Thompsons Africa has introduced pre-paid vouchers for meals at a number of participating restaurants in Victoria Falls.
The univisa is currently available to leisure tourists from 40 countries and allows visitors to enjoy cross-border activities. The univisa costs US$50 and is valid for 30 days. It will be rolled out for travel to Namibia, Botswana and Angola, and more countries are then expected to join the initiative in the later phases.
