Ugandan President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, took to Twitter recently to show off his country’s majestic scenery.

The pictures show Uganda’s rolling terrain, abundant vegetation, wildlife, cultural diversity and community tourism activities that visitors can enjoy in peace and security.

They include vast mountains and winding rivers to safari game drives with lions and Museveni climbing a snow-covered mountain.

The Rwenzori Mountains, which rise to more than 5 000m, have permanent glaciers at the higher altitudes.
