New concerns about the efficacy of various vaccinations over time, and what appears to be waning immunity to COVID-19 infections about six months after vaccination, are giving rise to the prospect of the need for boosters. This has caused despondency in some quarters, especially in the travel and tourism industry which has been decimated by the virus. It has led some to ask: “Will we ever be safe from this virus?”
