A brand-new online wine farm directory has been launched to help wine enthusiasts search through over 100 wine farms throughout South Africa to find their ideal match. The website offers maps, guides, images, profiles, and reviews, and covers 10 wine regions, mostly in the Western Cape.
Users can search for a wine farm using various filters, such as region, type, facilities, nearby tours and experiences offered, eating options, and operation hours. The website then offers a shortlist with reviews written by the creator, Lucy Brink, before redirecting users to the farm’s website to book their visit.
Brink, a UK tourism professional with more than 15 years’ international travel trade experience, has travelled extensively throughout South Africa reviewing tourism products. Now based in Cape Town as the owner of Enrich Tourism Consulting, which specialises in strategising growth for tourism businesses, Brink says the website serves to highlight South Africa’s winemaking, gastronomy, and hospitality sectors.
Besides an FAQ section to help wine farm beginners get started, the website also has sections on the history of South African wine and the art of winemaking.
