Meetings Africa will be a chance to track different levels of government and their commitment to tourism, according to Minister of Tourism, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane, delivering the keynote address at the official launch of the business event last week.
Meetings Africa, now in its 15th year, is expected to draw 7 000 delegates. It is taking place from February 24-26.
Addressing the event during the webinar with Tourism Update on February 11, SA Tourism CEO, Sisa Ntshona, said he was anticipating better use of technology to give access to people who might not physically be there.
He said SA Tourism would focus on leading the charge for driving the technology update for South Africa.
“High on my agenda is interacting with the tourism industry through roadshows, webinars… and really make SA Tourism as an organisation open, interactive and, most of all, transparent,” said Ntshona of his plans for Meetings Africa.
