Wilderness Safaris is launching Private Journeys, a fully integrated division within the company that has evolved from the previously independent brand, Wilderness Touring Cape Town.

Private Journeys will offer tailor-made, privately guided tours of Cape Town, the Cape Peninsula, the Winelands, and other Western Cape attractions.

General Manager, Charles van Rensburg, said Private Journeys was now more aligned to Wilderness Safaris’ vision. “We haven’t really changed what we offer, but we have certainly enhanced how we offer it,” said Van Rensburg. “Our focus is to offer unique and extraordinary privately guided experiences that are off the tourist track but still showcase the very best of what the Cape has to offer.”

Private Journeys has also started to develop the ability to book these packages through the Wilderness Window – Wilderness Safaris’ online booking system. The Wilderness team are also working on a course through Lobster Ink, a multimedia education platform, to teach people how to piece together a Cape itinerary.

Itineraries are hand crafted for each individual. “We are also not limiting our journeys to the vehicles we own in our fleet. If a guest wants to do the Journey in a convertible, Mini, top-spec’d Merc or BMW…ask us and we will find it,” added Van Rensburg.
