Between August and end-October, guests staying at Wilderness Safaris’ two camps in the Kafue National Park for three nights and more will receive a complimentary hot air balloon safari.
This is arguably the most exclusive hot air ballooning experience in Africa, says Ron Goatley, Wilderness Safaris Zambezi MD, who points out that wildlife sightings from the air include large concentrations of antelope species such as lechwe and puku.
The one-hour ride is followed by a champagne breakfast, served in the park’s vast grasslands.

Guests at Busanga Bush camp in Kafue can now enjoy a recently revamped main area with new guest ablutions and a sunset deck. This deck has a stunning view over the plains and makes a good spot to enjoy sunrises and early-morning teas ahead of a game drive. It’s also the place for sundowners, and gathering around the fire at night, especially under a full moon.

Busanga Bush camp has four well-appointed tents and Shumba offers six tents on raised platforms, one being a family tent.
