The occupancy rate in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, will average 86% in the last quarter of the year, says the Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe has said. This is up 2% on occupancies experienced for the past three years.
Association President George Manyumwa said although last year the sector was affected by a number of issues, major players have been witnessing high occupancies.
Manyumwa said the fourth quarter of the year is the busiest season on the tourism calendar and current occupancy rates are 75%.
According to Victoria Falls operators, for the resort town to do well, occupancies upward of 60% percent are needed year round.
