With over 25 years of international tourism experience, Andre du Toit is a seasoned professional in the industry. From pioneering tour operations in KZN to opening award-winning lodges and concessions, his diverse background spans strategic, operational, and consulting roles within tourism and conservation. This extensive expertise allows him to collaborate effectively with industry stakeholders, mitigating risks, setting operational standards, and establishing bespoke solutions for businesses operating in Africa and worldwide. Andre currently serves as the Head of Business Development at SATIB Insurance Brokers, a member of the first Equity Insurance Group. Additionally, he provides independent consulting services to the tourism industry. As Chair of the SATSA Adventure Chapter and the SATSA Safety & Security Committee, Andre plays a vital role in driving safety initiatives. He is also a member of the TBCSA Safety & Security task team, contributing to the implementation of the National Tourism Safety Plan. With his wealth of knowledge, Andre frequently participates as a panelist and speaker on tourism and safety topics, further contributing to the industry's advancement.
