Having studied a Business Science Degree specializing in Economics at the University of Cape Town, Andrea started out as a Health Economics Research Fellow at the Wits Health Consortium. Realising her passion for writing, she joined the Rhodes University Discovery Centre for Health Journalism in 2014 and completed an internship at the Daily Maverick. Andrea is now the editor of Daily Maverick’s weekend newsletter, and writes frequently on a range of topics including health and conservation.
