Graeme Bremner started his career as an agricultural scientist and part-time academic in New Zealand. For many years he was the scientist in charge of the NZ Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries forensic laboratory, and also an Honorary Fellow of Otago University. He came to Botswana in 2016 to take up an academic post, but is now ‘retired’, running Segaigai Farm (which is mostly farming tourists, near Palapye) and helping out at Self Drive Tours Botswana when they get too busy.
