Illana Clayton is the CEO of Travel Smart Crew, a collective of 15 privately owned, self-started and owner-managed Inbound DMCs. She also manages the group’s new TSC Africa operation, a business purposed to fulfil the needs of SMMEs requiring a product and systems backend. Clayton is currently a SATSA board member and has spent over 20 years in Inbound Destination Management. She began her career at Thompsons, before moving on to Travel Smart Crew, and has worked in various areas of both inbound and outbound tourism, including customer-facing positions in international sales and supplier-focused positions in product procurement and systems.
