Kevin Burley, the Operations Director of ANEW Hotels & Resorts, has a storied history, starting with 20 years in the UK hospitality industry before moving on to business coaching and training. However, a chance encounter saw him not only rejoin the industry that he loved the most but also pack his bags and move across the world.
While consulting for numerous hotels, including an 18-month stint at Orion Hotels, Burley met ANEW CEO, Clinton Armour, when he was looking to take over Ingeli Lodge. He helped Armour and the ANEW team with coaching and management services and helped put the hotel on the map. He also worked with the ANEW team to get Hluhluwe off the ground. Two years ago, Burley was asked to join the team full-time to help build the brand, put processes in place and look after the day-to-day operations of the hotels.
When he is not putting out fires and running a tight ship at ANEW, Burley loves soccer and has a real passion for running, even completing the Comrades and Two Oceans Marathons multiple times.
