MD of Premier Hotels & Resorts, Sam Nassimov, has grown the group’s portfolio from a humble 40 bedrooms to encompass 24 hotels and resorts, providing almost 23 000 bedrooms to business and leisure travellers and employing more than 1 500 staff.
He attended hotel school in Tel Aviv in the 1970s and started his career at the bottom of the ranks at the city’s famous Dan Hotel. Driven by a passion for cooking, his next step was as a trainee chef, a position in which he excelled and which resulted in a promotion to Head of the Grill Room.
With Nassimov at the helm, Premier Hotels & Resorts is a rapidly growing force in the South African leisure, business travel and conventions industry.
