Last month, Johan Liebenberg and Ben Bouwer took over Uukwaluudhi Safari Lodge in northwest Namibia.
Liebenberg said the decision to acquire the lodge was motivated by a strategy to focus on the tourism opportunities in the unspoilt Kunene region and to market the ‘Arid Eden’ route.
The new owners’ plans include a new boma facility, an upgraded campsite, and a general facelift.
Uukwaluudhi Safari Lodge has 12 twin rooms, a main building that features a lounge, pool, restaurant and bar, and a campsite. It is northeast of Etosha, 16km from the C35/C41 intersection Omakange settlement.
All current bookings made and held until the end of October 2017 will be honoured. The 2018 rates that were issued by the previous owners will not be implemented and the 2017 rates will be valid until October 31 2018.
